Trent School of Rug Hooking is an independant rug school. In 1974, The Ontario Hooking Craft Guild started a rug school at Trent University. In 1998, we had the opportunity to carry on the tradition of a rug school at Trent University. Mary Janet and Andrea are the owners and directors of the school. We are pleased to say "Everyone is welcome to attend the weeklong rug school.".
Trent School of Rug Hooking is offering 7 courses taught by well qualified instructors. During the week students will receive 30 hours of instruction, enjoy a well stocked Hookers' Boutique, take part in the Rug Display and celebrate 36 years of rug hooking at Trent University. Accommodation and meals are available on campus. Commuters must order meals in advance.
Trent School of Rug Hooking is held at Trent University main campus which is located at the north end of Peterborough along the Otonabee river. We will use facilities at: Lady Eaton College (west side of the river) and Otonabee College (east side of the river). All buildings on campus are smoke free.
We are pleased to offer The Hooking Room as a chance to relax and hook on an unfinished project. The tuition fee for this class will be $100.00 as there is no instructor.
